In parallel with the globalization of automobile manufacturers, Yamashita Rubber first established a plant in the U.S. in 1987, and then built other plants in Thailand, Spain, China, Mexico, India, and Indonesia to meet the needs of customers. (The plant in Spain has been operating businesses as Spain Branch of Yamashita Rubber Co., Ltd. since Apr. 2010.)
As for development, we established an R&D center in the U.S. in 2006, and started developing products there, in order to enrich our original development outside Japan. Furthermore, we established the third R&D center in Vietnam in 2013, after those in Japan and the U.S.
